A Refugee Feels Most Free on His Bicycle

Danny spoke at the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia Breakfast 2015 in Vancouver. A Rainbow Refugee originally from Syria, a writer, and a great story teller he told us about his journey to Vancouver and his self-discovery and home seeking along the way.

What was delightful to hear was that he feels most free riding his bike through the city. No matter whether drivers are honking or people are looking, he feels the rush of wind in his face and the joy of freedom from getting around by bicycle.
